You can purchase all the materials needed for painting by yourself but we recommend to first have it discussed with our painting pro, as some of the materials, its quality and volume need thorough attention to. As we often use a color match, we recommend letting us do this part of the work.
We don’t use subs for this service.
We prefer to use premium grade paint. We have had good results from multiple manufacturers.
You can use cheaper paint, but it is not worth the lesser result/performance. If you want us to use lesser grade paint, we may not offer a warranty for the work.
Furthermore, the appropriate grade must be used for the environment. Bathrooms for instance, need to use a bathroom grade paint, because of the humidity.
Additionally, if drywall/spackle repairs have been done, we will also use a DEDICATED primer before applying the paint. This is an extra step in labor, waiting time AND material cost. Many “pro” skip this step. Ever have paint just peel off the wall because you put masking tape on it? Must likely, it wasn’t primed first.
Fact is, either people don’t know about this OR they have been lulled into thinking it is not needed because paints now say it is a paint and primer formula. Don’t be fooled as this only applies to already painted walls.
